The academic year starts with the official inauguration for the fresher’s and a short orientation about the college, activities and training provided by the college shall be briefly addressed by the principal.
The institution follows learner-centered and innovative practices for teaching. Training to Teachers/Staff is provided by allowing them to attend short-term courses and workshops, seminars in and outside the college. The faculty members have been trained to use technology like Smart Board, Power-Point Presentation, and OHPs and are also facilitated to create their own digital content.
To enhance the academic and intellectual environment for the Teachers/Staffs, various Faculty Development Programmes, Workshop and Seminars through both online and offline mode has been conducted regularly to enrich the vitality in teaching, assessing, professionalism, and administrative activities.
Coaching classes and Quiz series related to the competitive exams are conducted periodically, and the students are continuously monitored for their performance. Several workshops and seminars were organized for the students and staffs to train and to create awareness among the students.
As part of the B.Ed. curriculum, a visit to different types of schools to observe the practicing innovations in curriculum, examination, infrastructure, and the school's community involvement module.
In addition to various academic activities, the students are encouraged to participate in inter and intra-collegiate activities in their respective disciplines.
For Literature students, Essay writing competitions, Elocution competitions, and Quiz programs are conducted regularly. The students are encouraged to participate in various competitions, and the winners are appreciated with prizes and medals.
For Science and Arts students, quiz programmes, "SCITECH" and "Arts Quiz" respectively to expand the students' knowledge, explore new skills and give them an opportunity to hone their teamwork skills. Every year students participated enthusiastically and won many prizes. It was a very informative and knowledge-enriching competition for the participants along with the audience.
To enhance the confidence level of the students thereby allowing them to perform better, Sports and Cultural events are organized every year to showcase their versatility, to develop self-confidence and to strengthen the unity of the group members.
Eye care program was conducted by Mahatma Eye Vision and Research Institute was conducted in our college through YRC and RRCs. Awareness lectures were given to the teacher trainees by the staff of Mahatma Eye Care Institute. Eye-check-up was also held for the benefit of the students.
Seminars, Workshops & Guest Lectures on Stress Management, Time Management, Soft Skills Development through both online and offline were arranged for the all-round development of the teacher trainees.
Development and Leadership Qualities have been conducted often to develop the students' all-around personality and to have an optimistic view of the world, by the expertise.
