The Khajamian Hostel

The Khajamian Hostel is one of the biggest hostels in Tamil Nadu. The hostel has 9 blocks and can accommodate about 2200 students. The amenities like Visitors' Room, Library, Reading Room, Clinic, Cafeteria, Ironing Room, Television Room, Prayer Hall, Auditorium, Multipurpose Hall, Guest House, Internet Browsing Centre, Play Ground, Canteen, Generators and Public Address System are available in the hostel premises, to facilitate the inmates and stake holders.

Admission
- Admission to the hostel shall be sought only after obtaining admission into a course in the college. Application for admission to the hostel shall be made in the prescribed Online Application form. Every student before he is admitted to the hostel must give an undertaking in writing that he will abide by the rules & regulations of the hostel. This shall be endorsed by the parent / guardian also in the attached declaration form of the application.
- At the time of admission, the applicant should remit the prescribed hostel fee in full.
Rules & Regulations
- Strict Discipline should be maintained in the Hostel.
- Silence should be maintained during the silence hours (06.30 p.m. to 06.30 a.m.) and compulsory study hours (08.45 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.).
- No student is permitted to loiter along the corridor during the study hours. Violation of this rule will be viewed seriously.
- Inmates must adhere to the mess timings

- Every student holds the responsibility to keep their rooms neat and tidy.
- Smoking, Consumption of Alcohol and playing cards are strictly prohibited in the hostel campus, violators will be immediately ousted from the hostel.
- Inmates are advised not to use mobile phone. If the usage is found in common places and during the study hour or on complaint from other students, action will be taken against them.
- Hostel common properties are meant for common use and taking them for personal or group use is not entertained.
- No student is permitted to stay back in the hostel during the class hours without the permission of the warden.
- The warden should be informed of the sick students in the room so as to provide them with necessary medical assistance and constant monitoring.
- Complaints should be addressed to the sub warden concerned and remedial measures shall be drawn in consultation with deputy wardens and co-ordinator.
- Students are advised to keep their electronic gadget safely and insisted to use it wisely. If found misusing of Mobile phones and other electronic gadgets in common places and during study hours or on complaint from other students, strict disciplinary action will be taken.
- Every student should submit a separate permission letter to go home and they should sign in the movement register. Failure to adhere to this rule will be considered seriously.
- Ragging is strictly prohibited. Inmates found involved in ragging will be sent out from both the hostel and college immediately.
- Muslim inmates must attend daily prayers, Deeniyath classes and observe fasting during Ramzan.
- Admission to the hostel in the consecutive years of the degree course will be made, only on the basis of the student's academic performance, discipline and leave history.
- Dividing system is followed in the hostel Mess Every month, the mess bill must be paid with in 10 days from the date of announcement. A fine of Rs.25/- per month will be levied for the late payment. If the payment is not made with in the stipulated period, only 10 days will be granted to dine in the mess with the permission of the Deputy Warden.
- While availing leave for 5 or more than 5 days, mess reduction form shall be submitted by the inmate to the Mess Supervisor concerned after getting signatures from Deputy Warden and Sub Warden concerned.
- If the inmates come to the hostel before the date mentioned in the reduction form or if they come late due to valid reasons, it should be immediately intimated to the Deputy Warden / Sub Warden concerned and proper correction should be made in the reduction form. Late submission of reduction form will not be entertained on any account.
- Mess fee should be remitted through the Camu App within the stipulated time given after every month.
- Inmates who discontinue from the hostel will not given the fees paid by them
- Inmates are not allowed to go for any tour or picnic by forming a team among themselves. Hostel authorities are not responsible for any unexpected incidents occur either inside or outside the campus.
- Admission to hostel in the consecutive year of the Degree programme will be made, only on the basis of the student’s academic progress, discipline and leave period availed.
Administration
The Principal of the college is the warden of the hostel. The hostel is managed and monitored by the Director and Co-ordinator with the help of deputy wardens and sub-wardens
