Associate Professor

Dr.G.S. David Sam Jayakumar is an Associate Professor of Finance and Analytics
chair in Jamal Institute of Management, Jamal Mohamed college, Trichy, Tamil
Nadu, India. He is a Quant and a specialist in teaching Quantitative methods,
Operations research, Business analytics, Research methodology and Security analysis
& Portfolio management nearly 2 decades and also handling more than 40
mathematical and statistical softwares. He headed as a resource person for many
workshop’s and faculty development programmes especially in Data analytics and
Research methodology in management. He Published more than 85 research
Publications for his credit in various Indexed Journals like Web of science, Scopus
Indexed and ABDC.He is also a Blind Peer reviewer in many reputed Journals Such
as IEEE Access, Journal of Applied statistics, Communication in Statistics-Theory
and methods, Communication in Statistics-Simulation and Computation, Brazilian
Journal of statistics. To his credit he published more than 13 Multivariate probability
distribution in his own name as Sam-solai’s Probability distribution and introduced
new statistical techniques such as Squared-Mahalanobis rank distances, Del
distribution in Model selection and many new probability & sampling distributions
for Regression diagnostic measures. In the year 2018, he received best senior
researcher award in recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions
towards research which is given by the Management of Jamal Mohamed college. At
present, he is publishing papers in Core finance, applied statistics and Mathematical
statistics. So far he Peer reviewed more than 170 research papers to various indexed
Journals and 3 Doctoral students were awarded under his research guidance. To his
credit, his vidwan score is 9.2 out of 10 and Research Interest score in Research gate
is 411.5 with 41,985 reads and 245 citations.
