Dr.M.A.SHAKILA BANU has joined Department of Commerce, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli as a faculty in 2006 then she has joined Jamal Institute of Management, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli as a faculty in Finance area in 2009 She earned her undergraduate degree in Commerce in the year 2003,  post graduate degree in Commerce in 2005 from Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous),Tiruchirappalli and secured 11th Rank under Bharathidasan University ,Tiruchirappalli and she completed her Master of Philosophy in Commerce 2006. She completed her Master of Business Administration in the year 2008 in Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Master of Philosophy in Business Administration, in 2010from Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous),Tiruchirappalli. Later she completed PGDFM and PGDFT from Annamalai University, Chidambaram in the year 2010 and 2011. She obtained her PhD degree in Management from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli in 2013. Her areas of research are Finance and Stock Market. She is specialist in handling more than 7 statistical softwares. She has about 17 years of teaching experience and 17 years of Research Experience. She has published 56 research papers in various International, National Journals and Presented 34 papers in Various International and National conferences.  In addition, she has published 4 books in the area of Financial Services, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, Human Resource Management and Organizational Citizenship Bahaviour. She has overall citation index of 32 with h-index- 3 and i10 index-1. She has attended 20 workshops, 2 Refresher Courses, 6 Webinar and 12 FDPs in premier colleges and Management Institutions viz., NIT, PSG, Madurai Kamarajar University and etc., She has guided 3 Ph.D candidates and has been guiding 3 Ph.D Scholars. She has also completed 3 online courses in SWAYAM APRIT and NPTEL portal. She has organized one National Level Management Meet, one Webinar on Career Development and One Soft Skill Development Programme and acted as a Resource Person for different institution.  In 2015 and 2016, she has received Best Paper award from RDB Institute of Management, Papanasam , AIMAN College of Arts & Science For Women, Trichy and Achiver Award from TNGSTPA ICP Professional Academy, Trichy. She is the Member of various Academic bodies of colleges and universities such as Academic Audit Committee, Doctoral Committee, Board of Studies, Question Paper Setting Board, Central Valuation Board, Editorial boards, and Advisory Board.
