Dr. U Syed Aktharsha has joined Jamal Institute of Management, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli as a faculty in Information system area in 2003. He earned his undergraduate degree in Commerce in the year 2000 and post graduate degree in Management in 2002 from Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous),Tiruchirappalli. Later, he completed his Master of Philosophy in Periyar University, Salem in 2006. He obtained his PhD degree in Management from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli in 2012. His areas of research are Information Systems and Knowledge Management. He has 24 years of Teaching experience and 17 years of Research Experience. He has published 97 research papers in various International, National Journals and 36 papers in Various International and National conferences. Few of his research papers have been Published in Journal of Knowledge Management (Emerald Publishing Limited), VINE Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems (Emerald Publishing Limited), International Journal of Knowledge Management (IJKM), (IGI Global Publishers, USA), FIIB Business Review (Sage Publication), Information (MDPI) and International Journal of Educational Management (Emerald Publishing). He has presented more than 160 papers in various International, National and State level conferences. He has attended 49 FDPs in premier colleges and Management Institutions viz., IIMK, NIT Calicut and etc., He has guided 8 Ph.D., candidates. In 2020, He has been recognized as ‘Best Junior Researcher ‘in the category of Arts and Management by Jamal Mohamed College Management Committee for his outstanding performance in Research and in 2024, he has been presented with ‘Most Impactful Paper Award’ by FIIB Business Review, Sage Publication. He has citation score of 571 with H-index- 13 and i10 Index-18. He is the Member of various Academic bodies of colleges and universities such as External Academic Audit Committee, Doctoral Committee, Board of Studies, Question Paper Setting Board, Central Valuation Board, Editorial boards, Reviewers board and Advisory Board.
