JAMAL VACCINE RESEARCH CENTRE (JVRC)
The Jamal Vaccine Research Center (JVRC) at PG & Research Department of Zoology, Jamal Mohamed College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli was established to facilitate research in vaccine development by the support of Alumni of North American Chapter. This centre mainly focuses on understanding immunity to infectious diseases, patho-physiological studies and development of vaccines. Also, this centre provides ample opportunity for students, faculties and researchers to exchange and collaborate with international experts in Virology, Immunology and Vaccine researches.
Come join us for a journey through the world of vaccine research!

RESEARCH INTEREST
JVRC focuses on identifying the pathogenic diseases and developing vaccines against them. Further, its aims to develop model organisms for various diseases and to improve the quality of genetic, cellular and molecular biology based research within Jamal Mohamed College Campus.
With support from the various governmental and non-governmental funding agencies, our present focus is to establish a preliminary vaccine research center with a well equipped laboratory and understand infectious diseases, with particular emphasis on microbial infections in the southern part of India. The centre proposes to use this knowledge for identifying novel therapeutics for improving vaccine design, testing and evaluation.
