PG & Research Department of Chemistry organised a Hands on Training on soil testing (Interdepartmental Programme) under DBT star college scheme on the title “Analysis of soil”, on 08th October 2021 at 10.00am at Chemistry Department seminar hall.

 

Dr. R. Abdul Vahith, Additional Coordinator of DBT of our department, welcomed the gathering and Dr.M.Syed Ali Padusha, Additional Coordinator of DBT of our college, presided over the programme.

             

Mrs. S. N. Anitha, Agricultural Officer, Soil Test Lab, Mannarpuram, Trichy-20, was the resource person for the programme. She explained the precautions and preventive measures are to be taken to improve the soil fertility and elaborated the importance of micro and macro nutrients prevails in the soil. She demonstrated the method of sample collection and testing of soil samples. In toto 81 Students from the departments like Botany, Chemistry and Zoology benefitted out of this programme. Dr.S.S.Syed Abuthahir, Department DBT Coordinator, Proposed a vote of thanks. Dr.M.Syed Ali Padusha, Additional Coordinator of DBT of our college, Dr.S.S.Syed Abuthahir & Dr.R.Abdul Vahith, Assitant Professors of Chemistry,  made all the arrangements for the successful conduct of the event.
